Just call me Tulisa... No actually don't!

I have been lucky enough and completely honoured to be asked to be...

Yes ME!...

Like Tulisa but with less YouTube Videos!

Yeah OK, I'd rather be nothing like Tulisa...

but I'm a judge non the less...

So what am I judging???

*Drum Rolllllll Please*

The 1st EVER

Alternative Queen of Reading!

What the??? I hear you say....

Well! I will let them tell you...

Where can you find burlesque, a German chanteuse, a capella singing, X factor performances, on stage cycling, and ukulele playing, all in one place? The Alternative Queen of Reading, that’s where!  If you head down to Shehnai on March 8th you’ll be treated to an extravaganza showcasing a different side of Reading's talent. Contestants will compete for the alternative crown and sceptre under the watchful eye of host the Queen of Bath, who will put them through a number of gruelling tasks. They will also have to undergo the usual incisive, hard-line questioning common of all beauty contests.

And no contest would be complete without judges (THAT'S ME); so to raise the profile Alice
approached celebrities and public figures – and were gobsmacked when their cheeky requests were granted. Danyl Johnson from X Factor fame is keen to support the event, citing his mother as his inspirational woman.  As well as judging, he’ll also be performing some numbers for the crowd. Michelle from Heart FM immediately jumped onboard – known for her charity work, Michelle couldn’t resist the opportunity to raise funds whilst “having a right laugh”.  Alice Baillie was nominated as Sue Ryder’s Young Achiever of the Year in 2011.  She’s passionate about sharing her experiences of being a young mother of a child with Down Syndrome.  And finally, a judge known only as Lady Faux

from Konsington (yes that’s KOnsington) is on the lookout for "Raw, uncompromising, sensational talent. And a rabbit".  Contestants have been warned... (eeek scarily I am going to be sitting next to these amazing people pretending to be as important as them... I will have to get my lashes and make up done first so I look the part!!)

All profits go to Berkshire Women’s Aid. See for more information and the booking details.

We've even made the local news!
*Bow down to my famousness of being mentioned in the same sentence as Xfactor Star Danyl Johnson!*
*huh hum*
